Cycling on Nantucket IslandQuestion 1. Is Nantucket a safe place to ride a bicycle?
Answer. Yes, Nantucket has a number of family and child friendly bicycle paths spread over a large area of the island. Some are short while some are longer and a little more challenging so there really is something for everyone and every ability.

Question 2. What is included with my rental?
Answer. When you rent a bicycle from us you will also get a complimentary bicycle helmet (optional if you are over 16), a lock for security and Nantucket wicker basket to put that packed lunch in! Of course we also provide you with a map, as well as complimentary road side assistance for any unforeseen mishaps.

Question 3. I’m coming to Nantucket for vacation but I’m staying out of town. Is it still possible to rent bikes?
Answer. It is yes, we know that you will have your hands full when you arrive on the island, so why not let us bring the bikes to you. Simply check our list of equipment to see what you need, give us a call and it will be delivered to wherever you are staying. And remember, what’s best. It’s totally free of charge for multiple day rentals.

Question 4. Will I have someone to help me with my rental bike choice?
Answer. Of course! We have a friendly staff on hand to help you with your bicycle selection depending on the type of riding you will be doing. They will help to fit you and your family’s bikes, as well as helmets should you choose to take them.

Question 5. If I have children with me are there bicycle choices for them?
Answer. Yes, we have a full line of children’s bicycles as well as accessories to make sure that the whole family can go along for the ride. All of the children’s helmets are provided by us as they are required by Massachusetts state law.

Question 6. Where do most people choose to ride?
Answer. A lot of people choose to ride out and visit one of Nantucket’s beautiful beaches. There are several that are accessible via bike paths, all of different distances and levels of difficulty. Of course the beach is not the only option. There are plenty of things to see during a day’s cycling on Nantucket. If you are unsure, just ask a member of staff.
